FDM ist ein Fertigungsverfahren, bei dem ein Werkstück Schicht für Schicht aus 3D-CAD-Daten unter Verwendung eines schmelzbaren Kunststofffadens (Filament) aufgebaut wird.
Damit lassen sich robuste, langlebige und formstabile 3d Druckteile mit hoher Präzision und Reproduzierbarkeit herstellen. A technology that has not only found its way into industry, but also into the private sphere.
3D printing has become indispensable in many industrial sectors.
The 3D printer is very popular in model making.
Today it is even possible to produce food using 3D technology. But individual 3D printing has also found its way into private life in many ways.
There are cheap 3D printers for personal use that you can use to print your own 3D artwork or make a nameplate on a door.
If you have imagination, the possibilities are limitless, starting with key rings personalized in all imaginable shapes and colors, to decorative items such as vases, right through to personal jewellery.
Of course, producing at home with your own 3D printer requires certain skills that may be too time-consuming for some.

There are different techniques in 3D printing. We manufacture some of our models using the FDM process.
This means that with the help of 3D CAD data, the desired workpiece is built up layer by layer with a fusible plastic thread. As a result, a robust and dimensionally stable part can be manufactured with a high level of accuracy in a wide variety of materials and colors. This is called additive 3D printing because it is added layer by layer, as opposed to traditional forms of manufacturing such as building a mold and pouring the piece into it, or ablative manufacturing methods where the desired end piece is milled out of a block.
While the earlier production methods such as milling or molding are usually very costly and labor-intensive and only really worthwhile for large runs, objects can be produced quickly in 3D printing in individual parts or small runs and produce cheaply.
This is what makes them so attractive for individual and personal use.
In addition, the size can be freely scaled and thus easily adapted to the relevant environment.
